Security & privacy

  • API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
  • All API calls are proxied through the backend; keys are not sent to browser JavaScript.
  • Use HTTPS, a strong unique APP_PASSWORD, SESSION_SECRET, and APP_ENCRYPTION_KEY.
  • Back up MySQL and the encryption key together. Without the key, stored provider keys cannot be decrypted.
  • This starter is single-workspace / single-password, not a multi-user account system.
